She graduated from Perry Hall High School in 1975. She went on to earn an Associate's degree. She last worked as an Office Assistant for the Baltimore County Department of Aging. She was a member of the Baltimore Heritage Quilters Guild and Maryland Beekeepers Association. She enjoyed quilting, kayaking, beekeeping, traveling, photography, and spending time with her family and friends. As an avid quilter, she created many beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She had a passion for photography and on her many travels and adventures, took pleasure in capturing the scenery. She enjoyed photographing her son while living his passion as a farmer. Anything that interested her, she could figure out and would give it her all. Andrea lived lovingly and courageously for her children and grandson. Over the years she was known as "Mom", "Ange", "Lynn", "Aunt Andi", and "Andrea". By far her most cherished name of all was "Grammy", given by her pride and joy, Sawyer.
