Ann Watson
Meier
d. Apr 19, 2023
Ann was born as Ann Watson Kelly in Baltimore, Maryland where she resided for 88 years until passing peacefully with her family by her side. After graduating from high school, she attended College of Notre Dame of Maryland before working at the local telephone company until her marriage.
She is predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, William J. Meier, Sr., her son Bart James Meier, and her sister, Mary Jean Gardner. Ann is survived by her brother, James Kelly, and daughter, Kelly A. Meier, both of Baltimore; her son, William J. Meier, Jr., his wife Janet, and their two children, Terri Ferree and her husband Kyle, and Jonathan Meier and his fiancée Tara, all residing in California; and Bart's widow, Dawn Meier. Her husband used to joke that he married her for her convertible, and she married him for his sailboat. Together they built a beautiful home in Sparks, MD where they resided until shortly before Bill's passing in 2014.
Ann enjoyed being active in her church for many years while she stayed home to raise three children. After they went off to college, she began working for the Baltimore County Public Library and retired from the Marketing and Programming department in 2001. More recently she managed Bargains Galore where she resided at Mercy Ridge.
Ann will be remembered for her love of baking which will be missed by everyone she knew. When she got married, she rose to the challenge of carrying on Memom's legacy as an avid baker. She was quite the social butterfly and seemed to have either gone to school with, lived near, or worked with almost anyone you could think of in Baltimore County. She reunited with many friends she hadn't seen in 50 years while at Mercy Ridge. In the recent weeks we have come to appreciate just how well known and loved she was by all her friends.
