Barbara Ann (nee Kramer) Moore passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the age of 78. She was surrounded by her loving family for her final journey.

Barbara was born in Westbury, New York and was the oldest child of Gladys and Herbert Kramer. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Skip Schmidt and her many cats. She is survived by her two sisters, Beverly Schmidt (her husband, Artie) and Bonnie Henriques (her husband, Dennis); two nieces, Jamie Gass (her husband, Mark) and Katie Henriques; two nephews, Brandon Schmidt (his wife, Laura) and Matt Henriques (his wife, Shannon); and 2 grand-nephews and 3 grand-nieces.

Barbara had a distinguished career in the insurance and banking industry, starting with Union Dime Savings Bank in New York City and eventually moved to Maryland in 1985 to continue with First National Bank of Maryland. Barbara became a congregant of Ascension Lutheran Church and made many friends over the years. She was very creative with yarn and generously spent many hours creating prayer shawls for the church's shawl ministry. She loved to travel and had many wonderful adventures, most recently a trip to Alaska with her niece and nephew-in-law.

Barbara, or Aunt Barby, as so many people knew her, was a legend in her family. Her approach to life was fearless and to sum it up, "She Did It Her Way"

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7601 York Road, Towson, Maryland 21204 on Saturday, January 28, 2023 beginning at 1 PM.
