Rebecca "Becky" Elizabeth Nanney (nee Heavel) passed away at the Stella Maris Hospice Facility in Timonium, Maryland on Thursday, August 23, 2022. She was 81 years old.

She was born on October 22, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Frederick Heavel and Ida Elizabeth Heavel (nee Durkan). She attended Eastern High School, graduating in 1958.

She was the beloved wife of 63 years of David Ray Nanney, and the devoted mother of Tamara Ann Cyzyk (Mark) and David Alan Nanney†(Ann). She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Shawn Michael Nanney, Jessica Lee Nanney, and Emily Ann Simmons, and two great-granddaughters, Hailey Michelle Nanney and Ashley Marie Nanney.

In addition to the love Becky had for her family, she was an avid lover of music, nature, and travel. She and her husband Dave, travelled extensively in their Winnebago, crossing the country and Canada multiple times.

Becky worked for over 24 years as an office manager in the Baltimore office of Arthur Andersen accounting.

A private inurnment and celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, Maryland. Please contact Tammy Cyzyk, tcyzyk@comcast.net, beforehand, to confirm.
