On Friday, November 12, 2021 Betty Ella (nee Stroh) Staines passed away peacefully at home. The Sparks, Maryland resident was 91 years old.

She was the beloved wife of Charles Leroy Staines for 68 years before his death in 2017; loving mother of Charles Staines, Jr. and his wife Susan, David Staines and his wife Joyce and Joyce Keller and her late husband Steven Phipps; devoted grandmother of Melissa Kuchta and her husband Stephen, Jeremy Keller and his wife Layla, Ashley Staines Fitzhugh, Ian Staines and his wife Cali and the late Justin Staines; proud great grandmother of Ivy White and her husband Brent, Waylon Kuchta, Rowen Kuchta, Stella Fitzhugh, Logan Fitzhugh, Kellan Fitzhugh and Jack Staines; dear great great grandmother of Delaney and Wesson White.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Wednesday, November 17 from 7-9 PM where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 18 beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Bosley United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Bosley United Methodist Church.
