Betty Lou (nee Bowers) Wheeler of Lutherville, Maryland, native of Baltimore, Maryland passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 30, 2023 at the age of 88. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Donald Wheeler; devoted children, Lynn Giltinan (her husband, Timothy) and Joyce Harrington (her husband, Dennis); and dear grandchildren, Joshua Giltinan (his wife, Yilin) and Jeremy Giltinan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Frome and brother in law, Melvin Frome.

For many years, Betty worked for the State of Maryland while caring for her family. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing cards with friends and spending time with her husband going to yard sales in search of treasures and collectables. Betty was especially fond of her large collection of Lladro figurines.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Thursday, July 6 from 9-11 AM with a funeral service to begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please remember Betty with memorial contributions to the charity of your choice.
