Bonita "Bonnie" Ann Rohr peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, surrounded by family. Catholic last rites were administered by Fr. Charles Canterna the evening before her passing. She was the beloved mother of Wanda Marie Stelmachowicz and her husband Emanuele Cappelli, Mary Elizabeth Kapur and the late Stephanie Ann Stelmachowicz; proud grandmother of Brianna Lynette Kapur; cherished sister of Elissa Jean Wieser and the late Sandra Judith Hoeker and her husband Roy, and the late John Rohr. She is also survived by many adored nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bonnie began learning to play the piano through guidance from her father, Jack Rohr. She furthered her studies for some time at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore City and trained privately with a renowned master pianist, completing her training at the concert pianist level. She also enjoyed teaching piano to many students at Jack Rohr's Music Studio owned by her father and for many years thereafter, she gave private lessons from her home.

Bonnie was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies by the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2003; she also enrolled in the MA Applied Sociology program at UMBC but due to illness was not able to complete the degree. She worked many years at Project Plase in Baltimore City as a manager and later as assistant director under the director, Mary Slicher.

A Memorial Service officiated by Fr. Charles Canterna will be held at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Saturday, February 28th at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please remember Bonnie with memorial contributions to The American Diabetes Association .
