Edwin "Buddy" Carrington Smith (Age 79)

On Sunday, December 11, 2022, Buddy Smith of Timonium, Maryland passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Lynda, along with his daughter, Michele; son, Michael; daughter-in-law Laura, and cherished granddaughter, Sophie.  Buddy was predeceased by his parents, Hubert and Ellen and adored Aunts and Uncles. Buddy spent over 40 years in the field of telecom engineering and often tells stories of the amazing advancements he saw and the wonderful people he worked with.  His favorite place to be was 'down the shore' In Lavallette, New Jersey where he loved spending time with friends and family, including the brother and sister-in-laws he found after Hurricane Sandy, as well as searching for elusive sea glass.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Saturday, December 17 from 1-3 PM with a Memorial Service to begin at 3 PM. A Celebration of Life and inurnment will follow in early Spring in Lavallette, New Jersey.
