Obituary

Carole Ann Wentz passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023. Carole lived to 81 years of age. She is the beloved sister of Christine Schilling and her husband Harry "Butch" Schilling; cherished aunt of Matthew Schilling, Karen Schilling, and Michael Schilling; dear great aunt of Owen Schilling, Annie Schilling, and Paisley Mouer; loving cousin of Geri Holroyd, Kevin and Kim Holroyd, Barb Hock, Susan Walters, Bill Wentz, and Tim and Karen Monath.
Carole was a native Baltimorean; a fun loving person, who enjoyed her pets, Yella and Droopie. She was a graduate of Eastern High School, and earned a degree from Johns Hopkins University on the "twenty year plan". She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for over 30 years for several businesses, including Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks, Peerce's Plantation, and McCormick.
She had a long term relationship with Pritz Calvin Robisin, but never married. She took care of her parents, Ruth and Richard, when their health was failing, and was devoted to her niece and nephews, and their children.
Later in life, Carole had many physical challenges, but maintained a cheerful disposition and great sense of humor. She became a Christian while attending New Exodus Fellowship Church with her family in Hereford. She moved to New Freedom, where she lived for nearly 15 years and attended Trail Church of the Nazarene. She participated in water aerobic classes at the YMCA in Shrewsbury and made many nice friends there. She enjoyed all genres of music; including blue grass, golden oldies, and rock and roll. She was often heard singing a song at any time, wherever she happened to be. She had many familiar sayings, such as- "lunch is always correct", "let them eat cake", and, "whatever happened to Carole? She used to be so smart!" She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. We love you, Carole!
A Memorial Service will be held at Horizon Church, 40 Burke Avenue, Towson, Maryland 21286 on Saturday, March 11 beginning at 11 AM. A luncheon will follow for all who wish to attend at Pappas Restaurant - Parkville, 1725 Taylor Avenue, Parkville, Maryland 21234. If you plan to attend the luncheon, please let Christine Schilling know by March 8 (for the caterer), by email, cjschilling1952@gmail.com .
