Obituary

Cynthia Lee (nee Coen) Gravely, passed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021. The Havre de Grace, Maryland resident was 70 years old. Cindy was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Peggy (nee Miller) and Homer Coen and was the oldest of six children.

She attended Towson State College, worked for Johns Hopkins as an administrative assistant, Cello Company of Havre de Grace in the accounting department and later as a homemaker. Cindy was the beloved wife of the late Edward Gravely, Sr. They were married for 45 years until his passing in 2017. Cindy and Ed enjoyed camping, traveling, and being active in their faith.

Cindy was the loving mother of Edward Gravely, Jr. and his wife Lisa, Venda Higgins and her husband Dan and Marie Hess and her husband Van. She was a very proud grandmother of her six grandchildren, whom she lovingly nicknamed: Zachery/Cirice Myers "Pumpkin Pie", Jacob Brown "Rocket", Noah Gravely "Munchkin", Danielle Shaw "Precious" and her husband Tom, Dana Higgins "Pumpkin", and Brittnie Keim "Sugar" and her husband Greg. Cindy was a devoted great grandmother to her four great grandchildren: Aurora Myers "Star", Ozzy Myers "Ozzy", Josephine Shaw "Joy" and Troy Keim "Tiger". She was a dear sister of Wanda Sherman and her husband Harry, Harry Coen and his wife Ann, Mary Penix and her husband Mike, Bill Coen, and the late David Coen (preceded her in death in 2018) and his late wife Joyce (preceded her in death in 2021).

Cindy will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends as a kind and caring person, with a huge heart who loved spending time with family and is now reunited with those she loved so dearly who went before her.

Services and interment will be private.
