David Brian Janka of Phoenix, Maryland unexpectedly passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021. He was 68 years old. David was the dear brother of Martin J. Janka, Jr. and his wife Jody; loving uncle of Elizabeth Janka, Laura Janka, and Adam Janka; beloved son of the late Edna "Jimmie" (nee Watkins) and Martin J. Janka Sr.

David was a proud Dulaney High School and Virginia Tech graduate. During his 45 year career in the construction industry, David held various management positions. He was a loyal parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hydes, Maryland. David had many loves including nature, his vast music collection, and especially his Labrador Retrievers. As an avid sports fan, David enjoyed playing softball and tennis and following all the local sports teams including college basketball. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
