Donald Wheeler of Lutherville, Maryland, native of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on November 30, 2025, after a battle with colon cancer.  He turned 90 years old just 2 weeks prior. Don was the beloved husband for 64 years to the late Betty Lou Wheeler (nee Bowers).  He is survived by devoted children, Lynn Giltinan (her husband, Timothy) and Joyce Harrington (her husband, Dennis); and dear grandchildren, Joshua Giltinan (his wife Yilin) and Jeremy Giltinan. He was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 7 brothers.

For over 30 years Don worked as a tool and die maker/machinist at Continental Can Company in East Baltimore.   He achieved his Bachelor  degree by going to night school while working.  He was active in political campaigns for several Baltimore County politicians during the 70s and 80s.  Hobbies included creating floral arrangements and rock and gem collecting.  He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his wife going to yard sales in search of treasures and collectables.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Friday, December 5 from 10 - 11:30 A.M. with a funeral service to begin at 11:30 A.M.  Interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, please remember Don with memorial contributions to the charity of your choice.
