On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, Edward John Rather age 73 of Timonium.  Ed served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.  His love and knowledge of all sports was unquestionable.  He retired from the 911 Communication Center.  He was the brother of Ralph E. Rather (Siobhan) and Mary Ellen Stepowany (the late Al); uncle of David C. Rather, Sr. (Kelly) and Adam J. Rather (Teddi).  Also survived by grandnephews David Rather, Adam Rather, and Terry Tragas and grandniece Georgia Tragas.
