Eileen B.
Head
d. Oct 19, 2025
Eileen Head passed away on October 19, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on June 14, 1933 she grew up in Baltimore Maryland. While working at Cermak's Pharmacy (her Brother-in Law Jerome's business) she met the love of her life Harry "Wayne" Head. She was the beautiful young woman working behind the soda fountain and Jerome had hired Wayne to deliver the prescriptions. They married on June 8, 1952 and raised 2 children, Linda and David. Together, they built not only their own house, but a home filled with love, laughter, and family memories. She enjoyed many years with her two grandchildren, David Brandon and Lindsay, who brought much joy to her life. Their home in the horse country of Parkton, Maryland was the heart of many family gatherings, poolside parties, and holiday celebrations. They had named it "EilWay Acres".
Over the years, Eileen embraced many roles: Horseback rider, Gardener, Co-Founder and CFO of Head Horse Jumps for 30 years, and she was also very involved in her lutheran church. She dedicated herself mostly to spending as much time as possible with her family and showered her grandchildren with endless affection. She was also a great friend to many.
Eileen was pre-deceased by her daughter Linda, her husband Wayne, her parents Joseph and Bessie Bartell and her sister Eleanor Cermak. She is survived by her son David Wayne, daughter-in law Mary, grandchildren David Brandon and Lindsay, and many nieces and nephews including Shauna and her father Ron Reely, Cindy and Dennis Cirri and Kathy Kiselewich. She will be missed beyond words, but remembered with smiles for her quick wit and the enduring love she left in the hearts of all who knew her.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at St. John's Lutheran Church, 13300 Manor Road, Glen Arm, Maryland on Friday, October 24 from 9:30-11 AM where a service will begin at 11 AM.
