Obituary

Eileen Rose Millhausen passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the age of 93. She was surrounded by love and held close by her family in her final days. Born on November 25, 1932, at Women's Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, Eileen was the beloved daughter of Samuel Leroy Banks and Mary Elizabeth Davis. She attended St. Michael's Business School and often recalled her childhood in the city. Cooking for her siblings and even scrubbing the iconic marble steps. That hard work and determination carried throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her sisters --Mary Ruth and Jean and her brother Roy.

Eileen was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and confidante. She is survived by her loving children: Mark Millhausen and his wife, Wendy; Michael Millhausen and his wife, Debbie; and Monica Millhausen and her fiancé, Scott Wildasin. She was the proud grandmother of Jonathan, Jacob and his wife Brandi, Maxwell and his wife Samantha, Zachary and his wife Marissa, Jordan, Samantha, and Sydney. Her family continued to grow with the arrival of her cherished great-grandchildren: Jack, Beckett, William, Rowan, Maggie, Charlie, and Mylah, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Eileen worked for many years as the head switch board operator at Jerry's Chevrolet, where she remained until retiring at the age of 75. She was fiercely independent, living on her own for most of her life, and faced every challenge with strength, resilience, and grace. For the last 8 years she lived independently at Brightview Senior Center making friends and socializing with her dog "Forest" by her side. Outside of work, Eileen had a lifelong love of horses and never missed an opportunity to test her impressive knowledge of movie trivia. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a sharp mind, and an unwavering love for her family. Eileen was always ready with words of encouragement, practical advice, unconditional support and always prayed to St. Jude to guide us through difficult times. The family finds comfort in knowing that Eileen lived a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She will forever remain in their hearts.

May she rest in eternal peace.
