On December 14, 2024, Ellen L. Talbott of Catonsville, Maryland; devoted mother of Wendy and her husband Jim and Sara and her husband John; beloved sister of Michael and his wife Helen, Stephen and Matthew; dearest grandmother of Ben, Gwen, Elizabeth and Mason; and loving aunt to Lisa, passed away peacefully after a brief illness.

Born in Baltimore to Ham and Maury, Ellen graduated in 1963 from Hannah More Academy where she developed lifelong friendships and memories. She earned her bachelor's from University of Maryland Baltimore County with a major in foreign language and a minor in physics, always interested in science, the universe, and how things worked, as well as speaking French whenever the opportunity presented itself.  She enjoyed volunteering including work with St. Timothy's alumni association, the Mount Clare museum and the public schools parent teacher associations.  She participated in the sponsor program at the Naval Academy which brought an additional member into our family, her sponsor grandson, Ike.  She enjoyed biking, home improvement, travelling (especially cruising), and had a lifelong love of games including Bridge and Scrabble.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends, especially when it involved a good meal.

A Memorial Service will be held at Charlestown Retirement Community Chapel, 715 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228 on Saturday, February 8, 2025 beginning at 11:00 am. Reception to follow. Interment private.
