Evdokia (Eva)
Nicholas Kerasiotes Wynn
Dec 9, 1966 — Jan 25, 2022
Born in Baltimore December 9, 1966 at what is now University of Maryland Midtown Hospital to Nicholas and Georgia (nee Skopas) Kerasiotes.
Eva grew up in the Towson area attending Cromwell Valley Elementary, Ridgely Middle and Loch Raven Senior High Schools. Eva earned her baccalaureate at, what is now, Loyola University in Maryland.
While young, Eva professed faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. God used Eva to minister to many over the course of her life; many share stories about her impact in their lives as she demonstrated God's unconditional love. The breadth of her legacy is known only to God.
In September 1990, Eva caught the attention of John Wynn at the housewarming party of his Essex, MD condo. Thing is, Eva was the date of another gentleman. At this party Eva met John's parents, many of his siblings, maternal grandmother and an aunt and uncle. Little did anyone know, Eva would become family as she and John married June 21, 1992 and had a "Big Fat Greek Wedding." Eva was a devoted and loving wife to her beloved husband. Inscribed within their wedding bands were their initials and a verse from Proverbs: 27:17 – "As Iron sharpens Iron, one person sharpens the other." Their nearly 30-year marriage was living proof this verse was evident in the life of this couple.
On July 27, 1995 Eva and John welcomed daughter Margaret Agnes (Maggie) into the world. She was born as, and continues to be, a force of nature. She frequently reminds her parents of the personalities of her grandmother Peg, John's maternal grandmother Aggie and Yiayia Georgia. Always busy, driven and compassionate: the latter especially apparent in recent days. Maggie serves as an X-Ray tech in the same hospital where Eva entered the world and at University of Maryland Orthopaedic Hospital in Forest Park.
Nicholas John Wynn entered the scene December 13, 1998. Possessing the same spirit of grace and kindness that gifted Eva, people are drawn to him as he too is among the Lord's earthen vessels. On top of that, Nick's athletic prowess at Baseball, Badminton, Basketball and others are reminiscent of his athletic maternal and paternal aunts and uncles, not Eva or John. Niko is continuing studies at Towson University where he is on the Dean's List.
Eva's work history included work as an "Intrepid" Production manager at the former Chesapeake Theological Seminary and as a production representative at FedEx Kinkos, where she touched lives that lead to relationships with folks in Greater Waverly and throughout the area. Most recently Eva served as an Administrative Assistant at Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks Reisterstown office.
Eva's greatest ambition and work was being an incredible Mom to Maggie and Nicholas, Wife to John and a sounding board and confidant to many friends, family and colleagues.
As a longtime member and friend of Timonium Presbyterian Church, Eva co-founded and led their "Coffee and a Book" Ministry for nearly 25 years. Eva has also taken missions trips to Canton, Mississippi; Fairmont, West Virginia; and West Ealing, London, England, among others.
Eva's hobbies included books, old movies and tv shows and, again, books.
Eva was predeceased by her father Nicholas James Kerasiotes, Father-in-Law Francis Wynn, Jr and various members of her and John's families.
Besides John, Maggie and Nicholas and a multitude of friends, Eva leaves behind her beloved mother Georgia and devoted brothers James, Gus and George, half-sister Eva Martin, half-nephew Wayne Martin and aunts, uncles and several cousins in the United States and Greece.
Wondering where their "Mom" is are her beloved cats (aka "Poops") Molson and Rufus.
In lieu of flowers, Eva requests donations be made in her honor to:
Eva and family express their gratitude for the prayer and support of their family, church family and many friends and colleagues. They are blessed.
Eva had several passages etched into her heart and mind including: Psalm 23, Romans 8:28-29, Philippians 4:4-8 and Matthew 11: 28-30.
Memory Eternal, Servant of God, Eva!
