Frances Eleanor
Earle
Dec 13, 1951 — Mar 26, 2021
After living a rich, full life with a wonderful loving husband, Frances Eleanor Earle, left us far too soon on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the age of 69.
Fran was born on December 13, 1951 in Baltimore to Joseph and Eleanor Higgs. She attended St. Rita's School, Seton High School and achieved her Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Goucher College on evenings and weekends while working at Lucent Technologies for her entire career. She retired at the young age of 50 and immediately bought herself a boat.
Fran was life, love, sunshine and joy in human form. She woke every day with a purpose and filled every moment with the most incredible zest for life. She loved boating on the Chesapeake Bay, sunsets, astronomy, gardening, traveling, hot tubbing, reading and was a Ravens' maniac. She was a caregiver and advocate for family, friends and strangers alike and unselfishly gave of herself up until the very end.
She was the village to her family and was known by "Aunt Fran" by so many, not just her nieces and nephews. Her nieces and nephews: Rachel Sitjar and spouse, Miquel; Benjamin Verner and spouse, Stacy; Laura Burke and spouse, Shane; Jennifer Schneider and spouse, Eric; Edward Higgs, Jr. and Taylor Higgs were so very blessed to have such an impactful, wonderful woman in their lives who took them to Disney World, taught them to drive, took them skiing, and provided the most amazing support throughout their entire lives. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her great-nieces and nephews, Reed, Llucia, Jackson, Laia, Hudson, James, Macon and Teddy. Her brightest, shining star was her beloved granddaughter, Ana. The two shared the most precious bond and Fran loved Ana with her entire being. She loved watching Ana ride horseback, but worried with every jump, and they would spend hours talking on the phone and simply loved being together.
Fran is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Earle; son, David Earle; daughter-in-law, Margaret Earle; granddaughter, Ana Earle; mother, Eleanor Higgs, brother, Joseph Higgs, (sister-in-law, Dee Over); sister, Bernice Verner, (brother-in-law, Tony Verner); brother, Edward Higgs, (sister-in-law, Tracy Higgs); and sister-in-law, Chris Garrigan. There is an army of loving extended family and friends who will miss her fun-loving, warm, welcoming spirit.
The family will be receiving visitors at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, April 7 th at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 6736 Youngstown Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21222.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Fran's name to the Maryland Food Bank, 2200 Halethorpe Farms Rd., Baltimore, MD 21227. Please ask that an acknowledgement of your donation be sent to Bernice Verner, 14 Ryan Frost Way, Essex, Maryland 21221.
There will be a Celebration of Life event planned in the future.
