Eugene Anthony Katauskas Jr.

October 5, 1953 - September 3, 2023

Eugene "Gene" Anthony Katauskas Jr. was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland.  Gene attended Archbishop Curley High School, where he played multiple sports including football, lacrosse and basketball.  He went on to pursue a career in professional golf and toured the country.

He came back to his hometown roots and started a successful career in wood working.   As his career became successful, he married and had two children.  Family became his priority.  Life then took Gene to the beautiful countryside of Northern Baltimore County, where he continued his love of woodworking and made many life long friends.  He went on to work at the Johns Hopkins University where he retired.

He enjoyed his retirement years working in his woodshop, going to his cabin in Berkley Spring, West Virginia with his band of brothers, fishing, watching golf for hours, and spending quality time with his family.  Gene's strong faith guided him home to be with our Lord. May you go rest high on the mountains of West Virginia.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on a future date.
