Mary "Ginny" Virginia Hoefner of Cockeysville, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.  She was 80 years old.  Ginny was born December 11, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland to her parents, Virginia (nee Whiting) Hoefner and David R. Hoefner, II. Ginny grew up in Baltimore, with her brother David R. Hoefner, III.

Ginny was a graduate of Eastern High School, the University of Maryland at College Park and had an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.  Ginny worked for Goodwill Industries as a Marketing Manager, helping others in need and she also worked for System Source in Cockeysville in Sales, Teaching and Marketing with an incredible group of people.

Ginny is survived by her loving husband, Michael Bielefeld of Cockeysville, Maryland.  Michael and Ginny met while ballroom dancing over 10 years ago, and they have been inseparable since then.

Ginny was the proud mother of Scott and Glenn Batten, loving and supportive mother-in-law to Maureen Batten and the loving "Granny" to Bennett, Landon, Greyson and Kathryn Batten all of Charlotte, North Carolina. Ginny was filled with kindness, beauty, love and respect. She was always there to provide guidance, support and loved hugging her grandchildren.  She was always quick to laugh at her son Glenn's jokes and funny stories about her grandchildren as well.  Her son Glenn, wife Maureen and all of her grandchildren will miss her more than words will ever describe.

Now God, please let Mom walk into your Kingdom, sing with the birds and angels, dance to your music and become a beautiful addition to the Heavens.  Let her reunite with Gram and her Father. Let them plant flowers together and bring beauty to your Empire.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Broadmead Retirement Community at a future date for family and friends.
