Harvey Eugene Cottle of Phoenix, Maryland passed away on December 5, 2023 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (nee Palmer) Cottle; devoted father of Katherine Elizabeth Cottle and her husband Jeffrey Anderson, Benjamin Harvey Cottle and his wife Rebecca Schurtz Cottle and Abagail Joyce Johns and her husband James Edward Johns; proud grandfather of Addison Hawke Anderson, Elizabeth Noelle Anderson, Zoey Kella Johns, Amelia Joycelyn Johns, Caroline Joyce Cottle and Laney Michelle Cottle; cherished brother of the late Carol Hollister and her surviving husband James Hollister. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended relatives, and dear friends. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Orpha (nee Oxley) and Robert Wilson Cottle.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Monday, December 11 from 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Columbia Primitive Baptist Church, 15900 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville, Maryland 20866 on Tuesday, December 12 beginning at 10:30 AM.
