Howard William Beck of Baltimore, Maryland peacefully passed away on March 4, 2022. He was 81 years old.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 30, 1940 to Adele Frances (nee Lilly) and William Howard Beck. He graduated from Mt. St. Joseph High School and attended the University of Baltimore College where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Howard was an All-American soccer star and played for the Baltimore Bays; Baltimore's first professional soccer team. He also played lacrosse while in college. After his father's passing, he assumed ownership of William Beck & Son Wholesale Fruit. He enjoyed horse racing and placing bets, especially for the Preakness. He was a lover of music and dancing, an avid Orioles fan, and most of all cherished his grandchildren.

He was a devoted husband and caretaker of his wife, the late Kay (nee Dawson) Beck for 35 years before her passing from MS; loving father of Mary Kay Willard and her husband Zigmond; proud grandfather of Jonah Howard Willard and Macall Eden Willard; dear brother of LeRoy Michael Beck and his late wife Elizabeth, Jerome Robert Beck and his late wife Marie, Barbara Nowakowski and her late husband Stanley, the late William Beck, the late John "Patty" Beck and the late Charles Thomas Beck and his surviving wife Elizabeth. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Tuesday, March 8 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father John Martinez will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 101 Church Lane, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030 on Wednesday, March 9 beginning at 10 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
