Ida Elizabeth (nee Nelson) Swartz of Berkeley, West Virginia passed away on Thursday December 25, 2025, at the age of 93.  Ida has won many awards for her work, including the "Baltimore Sun's Earthy Angels" in 1992.  Ida was given the John T. Menzies Award, while being placed in the American Red Cross Chapter's "Baltimore Hall of Fame" in 1996.  She received the "Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame "Geri" Award from the State of Maryland in 1997.  Beloved wife of the late Willie Gerald Hudson and the late Mano Swartz; devoted mother of Jerry Hudson and his wife Margaret of the Villages in Florida and Michael Hudson and his wife Karen of Rosedale, Maryland; sister of Marge Snider and Corj Simmons; grandmother of Gregory, Christopher, Paul and Julie Hudson.  Also survived by six great grandchildren.
