Obituary

Jacqueline “Jackie” E. (nee Hieber) Hart of Timonium passed away on Friday June 5, 2026 at age 96 surrounded by family.

Jackie was born on March 7, 1930 in Baltimore, MD to Walter C. Hieber and Agnes C. (nee Dabrochowski) Hieber. She graduated from the Catholic High School of Baltimore in 1948. During high school, Jackie was known for having a beautiful singing voice. She was a member of the Catholic High School a cappella group and performed in many concerts and shows. At the age of 55, she completed a Licensed Practical Nursing program at Union Memorial Hospital, where she then worked as an LPN.

Jackie took great pride in her accomplishments as a mother and homemaker. She was an avid gardener and maintained a beautifully landscaped English style garden and also a rose garden that she created with her own mother. She loved the beach and spent many happy hours gazing at the waves. She was a member of a card club “The Crazy 8’s,” a group of friends who played pinochle biweekly for more than 50 years. In retirement, Jackie and her husband Paul traveled extensively throughout North America, Europe, and the Caribbean. They often traveled with family members and friends, but also took many solo trips as a couple.

Jackie was the beloved wife of 70 years of Paul W. Hart, Sr.; devoted mother of Paul W. Hart, Jr. of Columbia, MD, Susan A. Struck and her husband Joseph of Manchester, MD, Richard T. Hart of New York, NY, and Mary Jo Febres of Parkville, MD; predeceased by her daughter Barbara Anne Makar (Andrew); grandmother of Kyle M. Steinle (Jen), Natasha A. Justice (Ryan), Meredith L. Steinle, and Ruben E. Febres; great grandmother of Eliana Rose Ventura and Enzo Antonio Steinle Martinez.

Her passing creates a huge void for all whose lives she touched.
