It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Lee Gardner, 66, of Rising Sun, Maryland. His final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by family.

Known for his love of motorcycles, fishing and a dedicated member of the Post 194 Sons of the American Legion and Legion Riders.  James, fondly known as Jim to friends, Jimmy to family, and Grampy to his three beloved grandchildren was born to William (Bill) and Janice (Forsythe) Gardner on July 7, 1957 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Rita Gardner Curran, and her husband Ryan, of Parkton, Maryland, cherished grandson's, Will, Colin and Trevor, his companion, Joann Ross of Oxford, PA, and his sister, Marie E. Gardner of Ellsworth, ME.  Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Bill, Janice and two brothers, David Gardner, and William (Bill) Gardner.
