James "Jim" Robert Rogers, Sr. of Cockeysville, Maryland passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the age of 84.

Jim owned and operated the Yorktowne Hobby Shop in Cockeysville for 41 years. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Ann (nee Penello) Rogers for 62 years; devoted father of Cynthia M. Riggle, Linda A. Rogers and the late James R. Rogers, Jr.; loving grandfather of Marilyn Portillo, Katie Durazzo, Nicole Sturgill, Ryan Riggle, Krystal Combs, Brittany Buss, Jennifer Combs and the late James R. Rogers, III. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Wednesday, March 23 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 101 Church Lane, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030 on Thursday, March 24 beginning at 11 AM. Interment to follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
