Jay "Jack" Milton Mallonee, U.S. Coast Guard Veteran of Cockeysville, Maryland passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of the late Sylvia L. (nee Wheeler) Mallonee; devoted father of Michelle Yousefi and her husband Jik, Jay Michael Mallonee and his wife Linda, Mark Mallonee and his wife Mary, Lauren Mason, Bob Mallonee and his wife Danielle, Blair Mallonee, Sr. and his wife Ruth, Gary Carr and his wife Pam and Jeff Carr and his wife Michelle; proud grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-son Rob Carr; his parents, Erma (nee Whelpley) and Hamlin Ben Mallonee; and his siblings Bob Mallonee and Helen Jones.

Jack had many jobs throughout his life. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII as a Storekeeper 3rd Class. He also handled muster roles for pay. He was awarded the WWII Victory Ribbon. Other jobs that he held ranged from a carnival barker, Good Humor Ice Cream driver and Christmas Tree salesman. His career pretty much was in Sales of some sort. He retired from The ESSKAY Meat Company as a salesman.

Jack had a love of art and was a very talented artist. He primarily drew birds, animals, and sceneries specializing in pastels. He dabbled in charcoals and watercolors as well. He was also very interested in abstract art. He was a life member of Overlea-Perry Hall American Legion Post 130. He really enjoyed volunteering his time there until a point he could no longer do it due to his health.

A Memorial Service will be held at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Wednesday, March 22 beginning at 10 AM. Inurnment will follow at Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery, 12400 Manor Road, Glen Arm, Maryland 21057. A luncheon will be held immediately following the inurnment at the Overlea-Perry Hall American Legion Hall, 8666 Silver Lake Drive, Perry Hall, Maryland 21128.
