Johanna Horst Tarr, of Cockeysville, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was 97 years old. Johanna was Co-Owner of Jay Hand Bags and a Girl Scout leader for the Cockeysville Cadet Troop. She was also a longtime member of the Dulaney Valley Women's Club and the YMCA service organization, The Conoy Club.

Johanna was the beloved wife of the late William E. Tarr, CPA; loving daughter of the late Lucia Teresa (nee Crapiz) Horst and the late Wilhelm Horst of Newark, Ohio; devoted mother of Teresa Tarr Parsons of Fort Mills, South Carolina and Dr. William E. Tarr, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana; dear sister of the late Oscar Horst and the late Curt Horst; grandmother of Sean Maloney and Kara Maloney.

A private burial will be held at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please remember Johanna with memorial contributions to the Girl Scouts of America .
