John Andrew Dunnigan, Sr. of Nottingham, Maryland passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 while surrounded by his family. He was 86 years old. John was the beloved husband of E. Janice (nee Lyons) Dunnigan for 65 years; devoted father of John A Dunnigan, Jr. and his wife Terri and Stuart J. Dunnigan and his wife Jennie; proud grandfather of Shannon Dunnigan, Amanda Kata and her husband Christian, Sean Dunnigan, Jake Dunnigan, Patrick Dunnigan and Joel Dunnigan; loving great grandfather of Natalie and Luke Kata; dear brother of Jane Lehr of Florida and the late Bernard Dunnigan.

John honorably served his country with the United States Marine Corps during Peacetime 1953-1957. He was a 3-time past Master of Washington Lodge #3 and past Potentate with the Boumi Shriners. John was also active with the Boy Scouts and was the Scout Master of Troop #475. He was an avid woodworker and photographer.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Boumi Shriners Temple, 5050 King Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21237 on Sunday, October 23 beginning at 3 PM. Interment will be private.
