John Lesley Nagengast unexpectedly passed away at home on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. He was a long time resident of Timonium, Maryland and was 68 years old.

John was born in Baltimore on March 23, 1958 to loving parents, the late Enid Lesley Nagengast and Robert George Nagengast. He was the dear brother of Barbara Nagengast Masser and proud uncle of Lauren and Josh Masser and his wife, Em Masser.

John graduated from Northern High School in Baltimore. He received a degree in Art History from Johns Hopkins University. He went on to pursue a nursing degree at the University of Maryland, graduating in 1987.

As a registered nurse, John worked at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Beyada Home Care and for Johns Hopkins Home Care.

A Memorial Service will be held at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Thursday, August 27 beginning at 10 AM. Inurnment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please remember John with memorial contributions to BARCS.
