On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, Joseph Francis Riley age 88 of Phoenix, Maryland passed away.  Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.  He was the beloved husband of Mayme Elizabeth (nee Bittner) Riley of 63 years; devoted father of Timothy J. Riley and his wife Kim, Amy E. Gangi and her husband Paul, the late Michael A. Riley and his wife Diane and the late Joseph "Joey" Riley; brother of Betty Schemme.  Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the family owned Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, MD 21093 on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 6-9 PM where a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 9 beginning at 9:30 AM.  Interment with U.S. Marine Corps Military Honors to follow at St. John the Evangelist Church Cemetery, Hydes, MD.  In lieu of flowers, please remember Joseph with memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
