On July 27, 2023, Joseph Walter Steffens, Jr., 70 of Keymar, loving long time partner of Elizabeth (Lisa) Ferro, cherished brother of Edgar and his wife Virginia and Chris and his wife Diane, beloved brother-in-law of Edward C. Dietz, Jr. and his wife Gaye, loving uncle of Jason and Brandon Dietz and Matthew and Jack Steffens.  Also survived by extended family Amy and Carroll Sparrwasser, Bill and Claire Jones and Bruce and Feli Carter.  He was preceded in death by his sister Lisa Steffens-Dietz, his mother Barbara Steffens, his father Joseph Walter Steffens Sr., and his brother Blair.

Joe retired after a decades long career at the Social Security Administration in Systems and other managerial positions where he made many life-long dear friends to whom he brought lots of joy and laughter.

Family and friends will gather at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 2PM-3PM. A Time of Sharing Memories will be held from 3PM-4PM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers please donate in Joseph's name to The American Cancer Society .
