Joyce Cecilia (nee Miller) Seabolt, age 81, of Red Lion, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, attended by family.

Born at home in Baltimore, Maryland on March 2, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Lillian (nee O'Brien) and Clinton Miller.

She was the widow of Harold L. Seabolt, Red Lion, Pennsylvania with whom she shared 57 years of marriage before his passing in 2020.

A retired nurse, Joyce worked for several Baltimore area medical institutions including hospice care. Joyce found a second career as a writer with published works in magazines, periodicals and books. She took pleasure in her family, her friends and even her job.

During her final years, Joyce counted her blessings every day. She was grateful to have retired from a nursing career she loved and she enjoyed her second career…writing. Volunteering filled her need to help others.

She learned what a rare and wonderful gift it was to enjoy life to the fullest everyday. Her faith helped her do that.

Joyce is survived by her two children, Susan (nee Seabolt) White, Pearland, Texas and Lee C. Seabolt, Millersville, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Amber, Maria, Samantha and Ian, and blessed with 5 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Judy (nee Miller) Beckner, Baltimore, Maryland, and was predeceased by her sister Jean (nee Miller) Smith, also of Baltimore, Maryland.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Rd., Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Sunday, March 2, from 2-3 PM with a Memorial Service to begin at 3 PM. Interment will be private.
