On Friday, June 14, 2024, Karole K. (nee Keeney) McElwee of Freeland, Maryland passed away at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Francis T. McElwee for 35 years before his passing in 2002. Devoted mother of Meghan McElwee and Gregory McElwee and his wife Deanna; proud grandmother of Caitlin McElwee and Michael McElwee and his partner Caitlin Down; cherished great grandmother of Bella Grace; dear sister of Michael T. Keeney and his late wife Renie, the late Ward Keeney, III and his surviving wife Frances Bacon and the late Leslie Keeney. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at St. Joseph Parish, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030 on Saturday, June 29 from 9:15 AM until 10 AM with a Memorial Mass celebrated by Msgr. Richard Hilgartner to begin at 10 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, please remember Karole with memorial contributions to Loyola Blakefield or Notre Dame Preparatory School .
