Kuai Peng Lei, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was the husband of Seung Won Yau and they shared more than 30 years of marriage. He was born in Guangdong, China and was the third sibling of 5 children. Mr. Lei arrived in the United States in his early 30s with ultimate dreams of providing for his family.

He opened a Chinese food carryout many years ago in Northwest Baltimore, where he worked 365 days a year and became a well known individual in the neighborhood for his delicious food. He had a strong work ethic, was extremely generous, and had passion for everything he did. Mr. Lei raised two sons, Vincent Lei and Johnson Lei. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and helping his family and friends with house projects. Mr. Lei leaves behind a legacy of strength and kindness that will continue to impact the lives of all who knew him.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Friday, November 22 from 11-12 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Larry Lin to begin at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
