Leopoldo Ricardo Zea of Cockeysville, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was 73 years old. Leopoldo was born on January 26, 1949 in Ecuador to Maria Emile (nee Jara) and Eloy Zea. He was the beloved husband of Zolia Lucia (nee Rodriguez) Zea; devoted father of Mareinela Molina, Tania Zea, Richard Zea and Patricia Zea; proud grandfather of Maria Belen, Rachel, Nicolas, Camila, Iker and Emilia; dear brother of Lucila, Targelia, Yolanda, Olga, Hilda, Alfredo, Gilbert and Ramiro.

Leopoldo immigrated to the United States permanently in 2002 and owned his own residential cleaning business. He was the pillar of his family and enjoyed spending time with them and doting on his grandchildren. He was always happy to help them with various projects through the years. Leopoldo was an independent man and could find a way to fix anything, whether it be for himself or someone else who needed help. He was able to build a table long enough for all the family members to be seated all at once because he wanted everyone to be together to enjoy the meals. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Thursday, August 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father David Ray will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 101 Church Lane, Cockeysville, Maryland 21093 on Friday, August 5 beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be private.
