Leroy Herman Wheeler, age 78, of Baltimore, Maryland died September 30, 2022, at his home FutureCare - Old Court in Randallstown, Maryland.

Mr. Wheeler was born June 17, 1944, at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, to Herman and Thelma Wheeler. He was the only one of his siblings born in a hospital.

Mr. Wheeler was a dedicated employee of the Maryland ARC, where he worked as a maintenance technician and packaging associate. Even long after retirement, Mr. Wheeler looked for job opportunities at his nursing home. His other "job" was being a devoted uncle and grand-uncle, which he took very seriously. One of his greatest pleasures was playing Santa Claus for his nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wheeler was a man of faith who looked forward to services and receiving communion provided by Holy Family Catholic Church. His hobbies and interests included painting, bingo, trips to the shore at Ocean City, and of course cheering on the Baltimore Ravens! In his youth, he loved dancing.

He is survived by his sisters, Evelyn Wheeler-Hall and Catherine Ford; nieces and nephews Joseph, Alicia, Charles, Thelma, William, Monique, Tyrone, and Caroline; grand nieces and nephews Scyler, Evelyn, Deangela, Ana, Kevin, Jazmine, Destiny, Erin, Sofia, Jailyn, Dante, and Daniel; and great-grand niece Janiyah.
