Peaceful in mind and heart, and certain of her Heavenly home, Linda died from the effects of bone cancer on December 13, 2022.
Linda worked for Allied Universal Security Services and was Manager of Security at Element Fleet Management in Sparks.
The surviving family includes brothers, Lendon Copeland, Vincent Jenkins, and David Barnes; sisters, Victoria Copeland and Ivah Copeland; niece, Lakeysha Copeland; nephews, Kaquan Copeland and Daryl Copeland; and goddaughter, Traniyah Craddieth.
Linda had a "village" of friends, several of whom were particularly close and supportive in recent months: former wife, Tricia Ford; Pam Southall, Rita Ennis, Addie Radmy, Chris Clifford, Valerie and Rev. Ken Ironside, Rev. Stanley Newsome, and Valerie Clash.
A Service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at Chestnut Grove Presbyterian Church, 3701 Sweet Air Road, Phoenix, Maryland 21131 on Saturday, January 14 beginning at 1 PM. Friends and family are able to gather immediately prior to the service beginning at 12 PM, and a reception will immediately follow the service. With no pressure to do so, we welcome those who attend the Celebration of Life to bring appetizers, cookies, or other finger-food for the reception. (Please bring by 12:45 PM)
It was Linda's wish to be cremated, and that contributions in her memory be made to Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery Rehabilitation Project, 12728 Manor Road, Glen Arm, Maryland 21057.
