N. Lorraine (nee Jennings) Nelson of Timonium, Maryland passed away at home after a long illness on December 27,2021. She was 93 years old.

Lorraine was born in Baltimore on November 7, 1928 to the late Nannie A. (nee Allen) and John C. Jennings. She was the beloved wife of 70 years to Charles R. Nelson; devoted mother of Christopher C. Nelson, Pamela N. Barry and her husband Joseph and John W. Nelson and his wife Joan; loving grandmother of Matthew Barry, Kate Nelson, Peter Barry, Sarah Chambers, Leslie Barry and Samantha Nelson; proud great-grandmother of Leland, Finn and Natalie; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Throughout Lorraine's life, she enjoyed painting and quilting classes, yoga and Tai Chi but nothing made her happier than being with her grandchildren and gathering with her family. She was well known around local businesses in town and all those who knew her described her as being kind, gentle and sweet.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Elizabeth and two dear brothers, John and Walter.

All services and interment will be private.
