Ludwig "Lou" E. Schuster of Phoenix, Maryland passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. The former Baltimore, Maryland resident was 83 years old. Lou was born in Baltimore on June 17, 1938 to Mary A. and Ludwig Schuster. He was the beloved father of Cassandra Schuster and her husband John Monks and the late Kate E. Schuster; proud "Popet" of Madeline Monks.

Lou earned two master's degrees from Johns Hopkins University. The first was in Engineering and the second was in Statistics. After working for Bendix Corporation, MRC and AAI he retired from NASA after a long fulfilling career as an Aerospace Engineer. He worked on the "Planet Earth Project" among many others. He was an avid Orioles fan, enjoyed classical music and comedic geniuses, Laurel and Hardy. Lou also loved playing golf. All courses, local and otherwise, he considered favorites. He will be missed by all his family, coworkers and extended relatives and friends.
