Mario Paniagua
Martinez
d. Mar 3, 2026
Mario Paniagua Martinez was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and a devoted man of God whose life was defined by faith, perseverance, and love for his family and Jesus. A hardworking and compassionate man, Mario left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mario was born in Guerrero, Mexico. As a teenager, he immigrated to the United States in search of opportunity and with the dream of building a better future. With determination and courage, he worked tirelessly to create a life for himself and his family. Through dedication, discipline, and an unwavering work ethic, Mario built his own landscaping company and home services business, using the skills of his hands in landscaping, construction, painting, and carpentry.
Mario has a special appreciation for nature and the beauty of God's creation. Being outdoors, caring for the land, and transforming spaces through his work brought him peace and pride. His craftsmanship and dedication reflected the strength and passion he carried throughout his life.
At the center of Mario's life was his deep and enduring faith in Jesus Christ. He often shared that Jesus had saved his life and his soul and had transformed his heart. Mario lived with profound gratitude for God's grace and knew that God had a purpose for his life. His faith guided him through both joyful moments and life's greatest challenges.
Mario was a strong man who faced difficulties with courage and determination. No matter how hard life became, he never gave up. He remained passionate, resilient, and hopeful, always trusting that God was walking with him through every step.
In his later days, Mario was suddenly and unexpectedly diagnosed with late-stage multiple myeloma and amyloidosis. Even in the face of this difficult battle, he fought with incredible strength every single day. He remained optimistic, courageous, and faithful regardless of the circumstances, inspiring those around him with his bravery and trust in God.
Mario passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. Though his physical presence is gone, the legacy he leaves behind is immeasurable.
He is survived by his loving wife, Aura Lily Deleon Martinez; his daughters, Michelle Martinez and Tania Martinez Portillo; and his cherished grandchildren, Yvelis Portillo Martinez, Brandon Portillo Martinez, and Josue Portillo Martinez. He also leaves behind extended family and many friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Mario will be remembered for his strength, his generous spirit, and the endless love he had for his family. Above all, he will be remembered as a man of faith who trusted deeply in God's promises.
