Martha Lee Grove, 96, died peacefully on September 12, 2026 at her daughter’s home.

Martha was born in Chilhowe, VA to Kyle and Nellie Troxel, one of seven children. She retired from K-Mart after 25+ years of service. Martha was a member of The Theodore Covered Bridge Society and traveled to many states to see them. She also enjoyed visiting lighthouses, especially in Havre De Grace. Martha loved to write and would send letters to family and friends with photos and clippings meant just for them. Martha was also an avid photographer.

Preceded in death by her husband, George Grove, son, Robert Grove, sister, Mary Hilse, brothers, Cecil, Glen and Danny Troxel, grandson, Jason Barsotti, special friend, Charlie Whitmore and lifelong friend, Virginia Lee Gibson. She is survived by daughters, Lori (John) Chilcote, Julie (Robert) Isaacs, grandsons, Roy James, Jeremy James, Glenn Isaacs, Kevin (Amber) Barsotti, Daniel James and Evan Barsotti, step-great grandsons, Nathaniel and Gabriel Woods, great-granddaughters, Lauren Barsotti, Kayleigh Isaacs and Kenzie Barsotti. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, Neighbor Tee.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Center, Timonium, MD on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 4PM to 6PM. In lieu of flowers, please post a special memorial or photo that you had with her.
