Mary "Buffy" Elizabeth (Volpitta) Elliott died peacefully at her home in Timonium on October 19, 2024. She is survived by husband Timothy; daughters Elizabeth Poorman and husband Josh, Hannah Green and husband Adam, and Catherine Elliott; grandchildren Jayne Poorman, Mallory Poorman, and Charlie Green; siblings Lisa Walker and husband Michael Allman, Gregory Volpitta and wife Nancy, Susan Forsyth and husband James, Michael Volpitta and wife Mary, and Catherine Tiralla and husband David; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Born in Towson on November 13, 1965, Buffy was the youngest child of the late Frank M. and Jayne D. Volpitta. She graduated from Maryvale Preparatory School in 1983 and married Timothy in 1991. Buffy was known in the community as "the Cake Lady," a celebrated baker and pastry artist who specialized in wedding cakes. She won numerous awards and competitions for her signature gingerbread house designs. She enjoyed biking, kayaking, and fossil hunting with her family, being a softball mom and vacationing in Bethany Beach. Her newest and most cherished title was "Nana".

A Private Service will be held on Thursday, October 24th with Interment to follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
