Mary Karabelas, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Mary, a homemaker and a staple in the family's restaurant businesses, was a kind, generous, loving person devoted to her family. She was the beloved mother of Steve Karabelas and his wife Janine, Dimitri Karabelas, and Aris Karabelas and his wife Helen. Devoted grandmother to George G. Karabelas, Christopher Karabelas, Mary Karabelas, and George C. Karabelas.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm, with a Trisagion Service to begin at 4:30 pm. Mrs. Karabelas will lie-in-repose at the Chapel of the Resurrection, 5917 Windsor Mill Road, Woodlawn, Baltimore County, Maryland 21207 on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 10 am until 10:30 am, at which time the funeral service will begin. Interment will follow at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery.
