Maureen A Martin – 09/17/1965- 01/25/2024
Maureen Althea Martin,
A humble servant of love and light, completed her earthly journey on January 25, 2024, at the tender age of 58. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, on September 17,1965, she walked a path of grace and compassion. She resided in Cockeysville, Maryland, where she was called home after a valorous battle with cancer.
Throughout her life, Maureen served as a steward of God's blessings, accounting for the needs of others with the same meticulous care she devoted to her profession. Her career as a commercial loan specialist at Wells Fargo for over a decade was marked by numerous achievements, but her true vocation was the ministry of the heart. She offered a sanctuary of warmth and acceptance to everyone she met, embodying the divine virtues of unconditional love and strength of spirit.
Maureen's legacy is a testament to the sacred bonds of family. She was a beacon of hope and joy for her beloved husband, Karl Doran whose relationship stood over 40 years; her cherished daughter, Krystal; and her precious grandchildren, Kalani and Tristan. Her siblings, Colieth, Lance, Paulette, Kenneth, Tony, Carl and Claudette, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews shared in the light of her kindness and generosity. She now joins her parents, Berniece and Belvueneto Martin, in the Kingdom of everlasting peace.
Her academic pursuits, which included the Jose Marti Secondary and degrees from the University of Phoenix and Walden University, were guided by a respect for all of creation and commitment to personal growth. Maureen's leisure time was spent in joyful communion with her family, whether having tickle wars, playing cards, enjoying board games, listening to audio books, or delighting in films like "Kung Fu Panda" and "The Princess and The Frog."
In this time of parting, the family extends their profound gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support that has been a balm to their souls. They also express their appreciation to the Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center of Timonium Maryland, for their compassionate assistance in honoring Maureen's sacred journey from this world to the next.
As we gathered to celebrate Maureen Althea Martin's life, let us reflect on the footprints of kindness she left on the hearts of all who knew her. May her spirit continue to inspire us to live with humility, to cherish every moment, and to love without measure. Blessed are we who were touched by her presence, for she has shown us the way to live in harmony with the Creator's love.
