Dr. Michael Talbot Reid passed away on August 29, 2021 with his family at his side. Michael was born May 28, 1952, to Everett Gordon Reid and Priscilla Mullen Reid. Michael was a graduate of Emory University and received his doctorate from University of Denver. He had a long career as a child psychologist and enjoyed his work and his clients immensely. He was a life-long athlete, from competing in triathlons to completing a rucking challenge at age 65. He loved playing squash, sailing, and all things about the beach. His best memories were of his years coaching youth sports, which included his sons and many children and youth.  He loved the game of baseball and believed there were many life lessons to be learned in the game. His sons were his greatest joy in life. His family forgives him for his life-long love of the Yankees.

Michael is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gail, and his sons Stuart and William. He is also survived by his siblings: Susan Reid Morris of Washington, DC, Everett Reid of Barnstable, MA, and Stuart Reid of Nantucket, MA.

There will be a celebration of Michael's life at a forthcoming date in September. Michael did not fear death but he loved life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the O'Hara family, friends whose twin 5-year-old sons are currently battling leukemia.
