Michael Paul Swoboda passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023. Born on June 26, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland to Harvey and Mary Frances Swoboda. Michael began his lifetime journey of charming anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. He married the love of his life, Julie on August 3, 1975 and welcomed their only son, Jason less than 4 years later. Among his career paths his gift of photography would become his legacy. For over 50 years, there have been several thousand married couples and families that were able to have their special day documented by Swoboda Photography. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, swimming in the pool, playing the guitar, and singing his favorite songs. During the holidays, he would dress up as Santa for friends, family and even complete strangers. Michael enjoyed spreading his own brand of infectious joy.

Along with his wife and son, he is survived by his daughter in law, Rachel; grandchildren who lovingly called him "Pop-Pop", Brian and Regina; and sister, Sherry Swoboda. He was predeceased by his siblings, Carole Swoboda and Harvey "Skip" Swoboda, Jr.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Saturday, July 29 from 3-4 PM with a Memorial Service to begin at 4 PM.
