Naomi Elizabeth (nee Wheat) King, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023. She was 95 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence C. King who preceded her in death on June 30, 2000; devoted mother of Michelle Kirby; proud grandmother of Michael Kirby, Jonathan Kirby, David Kirby and his wife Cassie, Larry Kirby, Jr. and his wife Kaylie, and Christopher Kirby; loving great grandmother of Amelia, Iris, Ariah and Hayden; cherished sister of Anna Krauss, the late Harold Wheat and the late Edward Wheat, Jr. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Naomi was a life member of the Parkville American Legion. She worked many jobs including the Glenn Martin Airport, as a waitress for Horn & Horn Restaurant, and she worked with the military delivering meals to those in need. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed 500 Rummy card games. Naomi was a caregiver for many years and was always thinking of others before herself. She was a kind, loving and gentle person who will be missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A. on Friday, July 28 from 10-12 PM with an American Legion Auxiliary service beginning at 11:30 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clement Mary Hofbauer Church, 1212 Chesaco Avenue, Rosedale, Maryland 21237 to begin at 1 PM. Interment to follow at Parkwood Cemetery.
