Obituary

Pamela Philippe Gill was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Allen and Janet on August 9, 1960. She grew up in Harford County, Maryland, chasing after her two younger brothers John and Scott. Pam spent her childhood on the water and in the marina. She was raising sails, weighing anchor, and boating on and around the Chesapeake most weekends. She graduated from John Carroll High School in '78 and majored in photography and computer studies at college. Ahead of her time, Pam endeavored to learn computer programming even before computers were household technology.

Pam was a dedicated professional with 38 years in the electrical distribution industry. From her humble beginnings in the warehouse office to becoming an expert in residential Electrical distribution, Pam's passion and commitment left an indelible mark on her industry. Her journey exemplifies a lifetime of growth, expertise, and unwavering dedication to her craft. Pam's unwavering commitment was matched only by her eagerness to assist and find answers to any question, earning the trust of colleagues as their go-to person. She will be remembered fondly by colleagues and peers alike for her significant contributions and lasting impact. "Pam will be dearly missed, but her contributions will forever illuminate our industry".

Pam found incredible meaning in motherhood, raising her flock of daughters alongside her husband Lee. She was a dedicated mother to her girls, who all caused her hair to gray much too early, but loved her with all their hearts. Lee was the love of her life, her partner and confidant. She married Lee in 1991 and spent 32 years laughing alongside him as they built a treasured life and home together.

Perhaps her happiest moments though, were as a grandmother. She found the greatest joy in spending time with and spoiling her gaggle of grandkids. She created a loving and joyous atmosphere for hosting family events which were so important to her. Two generations have grown up spending their summers swimming and being together at GramPam and Grandpop's pool.

Pam loved to travel and experience new places. From family filled cruises in the Caribbean to destinations across the pond in England, France, Belgium, Italy, and Sicily. She explored ancient ruins and historic castles, bought as much Belgian chocolate as she could carry home, and tried every pasta dish she found. Pam and her mother Janet were the best of travel buddies. Pam was an avid reader, going through several books a week and frequent patron of her local public library. She also spent many years turning her black thumb to a green one and created a backyard oasis full of beautiful flora.

Pam had an even keeled attitude, creating calm waters for everyone around her. She was our anchor and helped us weather every storm. As Lee would put it "She was the boss, my rock." Pam had a great laugh and shared it often with friends. She was a problem solver and loved a puzzle. She was intelligent, quick-witted, and beat us in every trivia game hands down. She was welcoming to all, and all felt truly at home around her.

Loving wife, dedicated mother, devoted daughter, caring sister, joyful grandmother, hard-working professional and kind-hearted friend, Pam passed away at home on December 17th, 2023 from a heart-related cause.

She is survived by her husband William Lee Gill; her daughters Pamela Brenna Logsdon (Travis Logsdon), Tristan Anne Miller (Brent Miller), Stephanie Delilah Coleman and Emalee Sage Kurtz (Jacob Kurtz); her grandchildren Lucas & Dylan Logsdon and Mason & Alice Miller; her mother Janet Gayley Staton; her brother Scott Philippe as well as countless family and friends. She was the loving daughter of Allen Philippe and sister to John Philippe, both of whom passed before her.

Family and friends will gather at Peaceful Alternatives in Timonium, MD on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. and Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 10-11:30 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Luncheon to follow.
