Francis Alden Clark, Jr., M.D., fondly known as Pat, passed away peacefully at his Timonium home on November 18, 2023. Pat was 92 and died of natural causes.  He was surrounded by his loving family and devoted pets. Pat was born on August 4,1931, in Charleston, West Virginia and graduated from Charleston High School. He went on to do his undergraduate studies at the University of West Virginia and ultimately attended medical school at the University of Maryland where he graduated in 1961. Pat went on to specialize in general and vascular surgery at Maryland General Hospital. His passion was medicine; he mentored many in surgical training while in the role of Chief of Medical Education. Pat was loved by many including his patients, staff and students.  Although being most known from Maryland General, he also had privileges at several other local hospitals, where he made many friends.

He is survived by his three children, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. His son, Michael Clark, and his wife Lisa; Brian Clark, and his wife Sonya, and their three children, Rachel and her son Owen, Brandon and Emily; and Marcie Clark and her husband, Brian Sult; and his loving partner, Jeannette Whiteford. He is also survived by his devoted sister, Mary Ann Redman, of Cape Coral, Florida and the mother of his children Marcia Clark.

Pat loved to entertain friends and enjoyed cooking and fine dining. Although he had a hectic schedule, Pat always made time to host his infamous Sunday family dinners for over 30 years. He will always be remembered for his generosity and his boisterous laugh, which was always heard when surrounded by family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, MD 21093 on Monday, November 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
